Storm's a Comin'

I haven't the slightest clue at what made me write this.

Mom and dad and kids on the beach.
They look to the horizon out of reach.
A storm’s a comin’ bearing down on each.

Building castles in the damp sand.
A fun day that was long planned.
A storm’s a comin’ with it’s heavy hand.

Dark clouds with rain and wind rush in.
Covering an area where the sun should have been.
A storm’s a comin’ and is positioned to win.

They grab frightened kids and attempt to run.
To the unthinking monster what’s done is done.
A storm’s a comin’ and left in it’s wake…none.

Well expressed. I used to live on the beach a long time ago and storms were feared because of how quickly life is always changing...

Be always safe,
Karen

I don't know what made you write it either, but I'm glad you did. I like it.
