Magic in the Minyan
When I first came to minyan I was very sad indeed, for I had lost my mother and was very much in need.
I said the Kaddish prayer for eleven months or more, with reverence and devotion, I never kept the score.
But my prayers went to Heaven, and my mother’s soul was kept, by the Holy One, Blessed be He, whose conscience never slept.
I made a friend and then some more and the minyan kept me strong, despite my loss and all the pain, my friends helped me along.
Five years have passed, my pain is gone, and fond memories now abound, but I still come to minyan, to pass the magic all around.
