I must admit that I would prefer those (a long time ago) times you so delicately share here, Lady Mary Ann, to the harried, noisy, polluted world we live in. Thankfully there are still places a soul can escape to that personify the peace and beauty that your write so aptly invokes. This work conveys to me the spirit of a time when there was the fragrance of honor and romanticism wafting through hearts and spirits. Alas. A gentle spirit wrote these peaceful words that flow as a pure stream. A delight to read. Peace and blessings to you... richard

I have not seen many covered bridges, but if your beautiful picture and descriptive words are an example, I will rush out to find one. I got a feeling of olden days; a cool, crisp autumn with a layer of new frost, lap rugs to keep one warm and a knitted muff to fend off the cold. Just lovely, Mary Ann. Thanks for bringing me back in time!
