Scaredy cat and cowboy hat.

 by Joel B. Kirkpatrick

 Fluffy… was… a calico cat…
She loved to curl up… in my cowboy hat…
Though she thought that was fine,
 The hat… it was mine.
And I always… found cat hair inside.

Now Fluffy… had… the run of the house…
She ate from her dish… but never a mouse…
It seems she was scared… and hadn’t a clue,
Of what a house cat… was supposed to do.
And I always… took this in stride.

 But one day… on… my chair as I sat…
 I said to Miss Fluffy… Are you a mouse or a cat…?
For out on the floor… a gray mouse did run,
So I thought that I might… just have some fun.
 Miss Fluffy… decided to hide.

 I grabbed the fly swatter… and as I began…
To sneak oh so quietly… the ‘mousiee’ she ran…
As I swatted all over… the living room floor,
Miss Fluffy peeped out… through a crack in the door.
Yes, Fluffy… was my joy and pride.

Well this I must say… The mouse got away…
Miss Fluffy… was in no mood to play…
So I went to my chair… and as soon as I sat,
She was up on the table… and back in my hat.
And I always… found cat hair inside.

Cute story, Thank you for sharing.

I have a Calico, I call her Missilkytoe, that is Mistletoe with the 'ky' silent, or Miss Silky Toe. She does make herself at home, whereever, usually the laundry hamper, if I had a mouse, she definately run and hide in the house.

Be Well Always, Carin'
