Creative Piece from Ancestors Idiom

See I’ve been left with the burden and responsibility to find a way to change the impact of my people’s past hardships in this place.
Struggle, oppression, violence and economic subjugation through deceit that’s come to rule and enslave this nation
So I let go…
And if I’m not giving my life for the so called almighty dollar,
And if I’m not bein’ subject to the lies that have kept us down under,
Than I’m prayin’ for peace of mind and a way to make it through
For a way for my people to transcend this subjugation
Like in the days before countries became industrialized nations
And I let go…
See, my ancestor’s inspiration from the stories they’ve held deep within,
Passed down time, and time, and time again,
to our young bucks and our sistah kin
We’ve been forced to accept the propagandized definition of our worth and our place,
And to forget the true identity and origins of our race.
So I let go….
of their programs that have been runnin’ through my head
and sync into the visions painted by my ancestors instead
And the Muur I release, the Muur I become
And the Muur I am empowered by their blood that pumps through my veins
And the Muur I remember my-story, our-story, their-story versus history
And the Muur I have to hold onto.
