Emptiness

Far vaster
than night skies
gazed upon
by human eyes,

Far deeper
than any abyss
yet conceived
to ever exist,

Far higher
than mystics of yore
and prophets past
could ever endure,

You would never believe
What I have seen,
It strikes to the root
Of my very being.

If you could only view
the splendors that lie
beyond the illusions
that deceive the eye!

Do you really think
You know this place?
You see but shadows
And rush to embrace

Emptiness.
