HOUSE OF A SPIDER

United you Stand
Divided you fall

Unity under a national cause
is like a house with strong foundation
It can't be shaken by mere winds of time
Hardships only harden Unity's spirits
National interest ranks high in the list

Unity under tribal cause is
as weak as the house of a spider
It is like a piece of cloth with mixed colors
Tribal interest takes lead in the office
Leaders contest in a spree of resource scramle
Greed drives nation to internal conflict
The fibre of unity cloth gets dismantled
Each individual thread goes on its own way
It thinks it has freed itself from an unfair unity
But sadly enough it is just a thread
One with inferior size and texture
Just a thread it is, not a cloth anymore

Abdi Noor, your poem hits the nail right on the head, Somalia is a case in point. May we heal from within. Excellent poem!
