| I love your analogy of the spirit of Somalia to a vine that pushes it way out of the rubble and climbs higher and higher...beautiful! |

Buried under bricks
It shall push itself up
May its rise be very soon, my friend. |

Abdi-Noor, my deepest respect to you; the triumph of Somalia is that she can still see a future, where the creeper shall push away the stones. The future is coming to you, and you will see peace come to your people. God keep you, hold you, and surround you with smiles and love.
Bless you, Fergus |

Time and again, whenever doubt visits my heart Allah's promise comes to mind:
"Or (take) the similitude of one who passed by a hamlet, all in ruins to its roofs. He said: "Oh! how shall Allah bring it (ever) to life, after (this) its death?" but Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then raised him up (again). He said: "How long didst thou tarry (thus)?" He said: (Perhaps) a day or part of a day." He said: "Nay, thou hast tarried thus a hundred years; but look at thy food and thy drink; they show no signs of age; and look at thy donkey: And that We may make of thee a sign unto the people, Look further at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh." When this was shown clearly to him, he said: "I know that Allah hath power over all things."
( ÓæÑÉ ÇáÈÞÑÉ , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #259)
And like the man in that story, I say, I know that Allah has power over all things."
Thank you Abdinoor for introducing Doctor Suleiman to the Den.

Abdi-Noor,
"Between the cruelty
of carpet bombers
And the inhumanity
of suicide bombers ..."
Surrounded by the horror of war on all sides.
"...But like a creper
Buried under bricks
It shall push itself up....
It shall climb confindently
Reaching heights of love
Making a sweet laugh
When others are crying"
Yet, Somalia will rise; a resiliant, forgiving people.
A beautiful write of hope and inspiration, dear (((friend))), well done. Please: stay safe, and know you and your family are in my prayers.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. |
