In some cultures relationship is not limited only to the two people loving each other but it extends to family borders. Here a boy is advised to do away with his love partner on grounds that she does not fit well into the family´s conservative ethical tradition. His heart wants him to go one way whíle his family drags him to an opposite direction. Love of a family and love of a partner, which is more powerful?

In the garden of my heart
I see flowers of love
Growing in the soil of mercy

What a joy

But when I move to my head
I see family at war with me
Tearing peace into pieces
What a misery

Should I retreat to my heart
And say adieu to my family?
I feel lost between two loves
I´m worried!

A situation complicated by people refusing to accept others for who they are. Beautiful writing, Abdi.

Abdi-Noor,

Pay no attention to Ms. Wabba's comment. She has no clue. Family: what a complicated relationship. They can be your greatest allies or your worst enemy. Added fuel to the fire when surrounded by war. Powerful writing.

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Karla.

Oh my what a dilemma. Your heart is broken no matter which way you go. Between the rock and the hard place saying comes to mind. How do you give up a family you love and that always loved you they are blood. That doesn't mean they're right but that's the way it is. Are they will to lose this boy forever? I don't think so. Maybe time is what the situation needs. Love, Bonnie

If he marries her he would have to live some place else and give up his family who would come between them.
