A Mother’s Way
Driving with my mother down an ole country road one day
Came across this relic aging in the summer sun of May
We begin to reminisce of her past and the things she had done as a young girl
Our conversation joined by a curious lil squirrel
Sitting upon the limb that you see
Just taking in the beauty of our surroundings and living so vividly in my mothers childhood memory
At my age I take many things for granted and often forget
Fortunately my wise mother knows just when to pounce it upon me that I have not seen anything in life just yet
