They had their convention
filling a huge hall.
I strayed in
bored and wondering
what this was about.

Speaker after speaker
boasted their exploits
and thunderous
applause rang
round the walls.

Was I hearing right
the things they claimed
the deeds they had done
and the cheers
and laughter received.

Then suddenly I was
ushered onto the stage
Tell us Tell us
the crowd chanted
turning real nasty.

And then I saw
the banner..their banner.
I had wandered into
The Serial Killers
Convention.

Would that be called an unconventional convention? That must've been a very bad dream. Did you get the idea from my story, Serial?
