Now my pen cries.

You could only love me for a moment.

Then it was all gone. Back to babyproofing the world for her. I distracted you for a moment, held your cheeks and turned your face to mine. I stared into your eyes with love and a desperate plea without words.

You looked at my eyes and saw only your reflection and behind your reflection , hers!

I shout, scream cry but you cannot hear me. I can hear me so clearly , like an echo.  I get it.

You could not and can not hear me because the connection was lost a long time ago. Back when you took the last deep breath of me. I can hear your response to these words i write. "people break up every day, get over it and move on."

I AM walking this lonely path  with the broken heart.

Easy to say when I WALK.

Not so easy to say when YOU WALKED..

The same path that made your pen cry.

Now mine.
