My spirit took a flight today,

I leaned inside your heart,

Beating for another breath,

You took away the dark!

Like water falls upon my skin,

You drenched me in your touch,

Filled me like hawaiian heat,

Molting lava at my feet;

Every drop inside my blood,

Danced like fires wrath,

Every bone did know the next,

A fire that becomes the ashe!

My hair it layed upon the earth,

My breath took day in deep,

One with the sun,

One with the air,

Waters wash the Earth beneath.

My spirit took a flight today,

To quench the fire in my core,

Cruel and dry bedlam waits,

When wings return from wanting more!

My hair it lays upon my floor,

my eyes closed shut,

Like slamming doors,

Theres always something missing, -

Something burning in my core!

Forever waiting in the flames,

Where Bedlam lives and spirits pour!

I am sorry, Michelle. I don't know how I could have missed this poem because I became a "fan" of yours a long while back. Your poem expresses sentiments that are soul-grasping; each verse elicits a response within me. So well-expressed and real. Thank you for sharing your gift. Love and best wishes to you,

Regis

Marvelous! Your words make me feel more than than they make me think. Does that make sense? I tend to intellectualize poems I read, but yours just wash over my mind straight to my solar plexus.
