This song is the newest addition to my lyrics portfolio...The demo should be ready in two weeks if all goes well...keep your fingers crossed

              (1)
once we were strong and could face anything
but it seems we've let it all slip away
though I'd like to believe we could work things out
if you choose to leave... I won't ask you to stay

              chorus

cause I can see in your eyes
the time has come
doesnt matter now
who was right or wrong
if I begged you to stay
you'd be holding out
and I would only be holding on

          (2)

we often said our love would last forever
but I guess forever sometimes is too long
cause when I smile at you I see a subtle change
and there's an emptiness ...where once I belonged

           (3)

once we were strong and could face anything
guess I'm  wrong to hang on to yesterday
so pretend you dont see tears when we say goodbye
just turn the corner....and walk away

     chorus

cause I can see in your eyes
the time has come
doesnt matter now
who was right or wrong
if I begged you to stay
you'd be holding out
and I would only be holding on

I like this. Can't wait to hear the demo rendition of it. Bill
