Love is hard to define

And it's not just a four letter word

Some peoples' love proclaims are fake

So it should probably go unheard.

It's a difference between in love and love

In love has more sustenance when it exists

In love is a part of a development

In love takes two to co-exist

When in love with that person

Your heart changes your mind

Old standards that you once set

Will always get left behind

In love makes you smile

When it's upset you'd thought you'd be

In love makes you happy

When it's only them you want to see

In love makes you love them more

Even when you want to cry

In love places a destination in your heart

Knowing you'll love them until you die

In love is a thousand hugs and kisses

No matter when throughout the day

In love makes you agree

When you know things should have went your way

In love wants to be touched

By no other than their passionate touch

Not ever wanting to lose that love

A devotion that you cherish and love too much.
