Just listen to the words. Don't just read them.

The Wind

The wind it whispers softly to me

Mostly things I can not see

At times I have to strain to hear

At times, to me, it brings a tear

The wind begins to speak loudly now

To me it speaks, I don't know how

It grabs hold and turns me around

At times it drops me to the ground

The wind it settles for a bit

Lending my mind a brief respite

But then it starts all over again

I wonder if this will ever end

The wind is whispering again to me

I wonder this time if I will see

I listen carefully to learn its cause

And there again there is this pause

The wind is screaming now to me

I try to hide, but it finds me

It brings messages I need not hear

It tells me of loved ones oh so dear

The wind has found me now it seems

I try to imagine its all a dream

But then I awake; it all is real

This life is mine I have to deal

This wind, it lives inside me now

Nevermore to run, I don't know how

I listen carefully to the words

With caution I approach and gently learn

The wind is part of my life this day

The message is clear, I dare not say

I can say but this, to my family and friends

Live each day as though it were the end.

Ancient language speaks in the soundwaves of rising and falling rhythms of wind, waves and all in their pathways. We all need to hear what Creator God has said in the winds of time and change.
