This was a dedication for my baby sister. Because of my mothers lifestyle I was the one to take care of my sister. I to this day feel like I have to be her protector though she's miles away. I was 9yrs. old when she was born.

I remember when I saw your face.

A beautiful baby in pink & lace.

Not wanting you to experience heartache & neglect

I always knew in my heart it was you I must protect.

I remember when you were just 5yrs old,

Up in your room, kissing a boy, as the story’s told.

With all innocents & those Angelic eyes,

Everyone thought you were sweeter, than even apple pies.

I remember when you would get scared at night.

You would come crawl in my bed, so I could squeeze you tight.

Wanting to comfort you anyway that I could,

I would just love you, like a big sister should.

I remember when time began to pass.

From child to adult, it’s happened way too fast.

So what’s happened to that little girl so innocent & true ?

For I would love to hold her now & say that”I love you”

No matter how far away this little girl may go,

My heart is always right by hers & this I truly know.

My little sis is special in many different ways.

I can not wait to see her; I’m counting down the days.

So to my little sister, I share with you from my heart,

I looked into your big brown eyes, & loved you from the start.
