when you are there voices shatter stained glass windows
and cathedrals collapse under their
own weight -
and listen
for when you are there
a thread of light makes
a pinhole illumination behind the eyes
and you levitate without a sound-
your laughter raising you
higher -
higher than any raise your boss will give ya

and you enthusiastic legs make
cracks underneath
your shoes and
the bubbles boil grease and
angels
of one kind of another
dance matisse-like around your table and notebook

                                                                                and
                                                                                credit collectors

                                                                                are far way
                                                                                in igloos
                                                                                wailing like
                                                                                caught cats

and you walk home and
the pavement goes with a
grace that knows no defeat

and all---
ALLLLLL will benefit from
your game of catch with smiling infants
