My Golden Sounds
“Silence is not always best, but sometimes
the noisiest is the quietness to some”
jingle, jingle tingle
fumble, slide, click
rrrrrrr,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
hear the tune
of harmony knots
flapping, snapping
cracking
sing the sails heading out
to sea
coming to a slow
for it’s evening glow
time to anchor
one two, three splash
found their mark
time to seat yourself
keeping voices ever so low
watching sea life
making you laugh
making their own
waves of
playing splash
tired from the day
time to crawl in bunk
crewmates rocked to sleep
long hours into the night
letting us recover from
sombered slurred singing, while
letting thoughts drift off,,,
listening to the
waves outside
slurping~n~lapping
rocking us from
waves of whales
knock~knock
a dolphin comes knocking
the hull coming
to investigate the
invasion
Sleep well, try not to snore
morning arrives crudely
soon hearing a horn
the roar of engines taking us
back to reality
taking us away from
the golden sounds of
the sea
