Just a bit of Humour...Limerick style, for the 4th July Celebrations :)

It was American Independance day today
So I thought I would just drop in a G'day
Did y'all set off  dem cracka's
send the dogs all spacka's
Find yourselves stuck in traffic one way?

I love a good show of fireworks
the ooooos and the aaaahs are quirks
that the human race
doth find cheers the face
when misery like smog quietly lurks

So I hope Y'all had a beaut time
letting hair down amid smoke and grime :)
We did already our Australia day
our Coathanger is always the way
to celebrate, freedom, joy so sublime

God bless you all

Hope you like the pic of our Harbour bridge ( i.e Coathanger as it is affectionately known, next to our famous Opera House. I will be looking for pics around the den xxxxx Ch'erie

Loved it! I so appreciate the limerick style, and I do love the form. Rhyming I feel is an art that has begun to be overlooked. I do so love to rhyme ;) Job well done on this piece. I enjoyed it much.

You are also a country that celebrates my birthday with Children's Day............Maybe this is why I stay young :-)

Sydney has some of the most incredible firework displays I've ever seen...from far away, of course, y'all put on quite the show for the Olympics. I love, love, loved that. :) Thank you for stopping by, Ch'erie, on our Independence Day, and for your good wishes in spectacular fashion. :) Well done!
