Romance blooms..

I wouldst that thou love be mine

I wouldst that thou love be mine
tender portals of hope divine
caress mine heart sayeth a tear
come love sweet alay my fear

Thou must feast on ripened fruits
borne of dactylanthus roots
bitter aloe's remindeth me
times essence too soon doth flee

Oh come my love let us retire
for within need stokes the fire
feast till dawn cries aloud
drenched amid lovers shroud

Consumate in pungent cloves
such is how thy garden grows
bed of spice an erbs to soothe
remembering not, ones love to prove!

Excellent work. I was surprised to find this to be such an old piece yet so well done.

:-) I'd much prefer my love climb to find the graphic. Love the poetry.

Very nice poetry, using natural herbs and fruits as an enticement for romance. Enjoyed this.

Very, very nicely done my Cherry Pie, this is something that would have made Shakespeare quiver, as it did me. My thighs were warmed by the tenderness and utter sensuality of this one. Sweet.....

A beautiful love poem...
