I wrote this from the high rise condo we rented in Coronado, a city just over the bridge from San Diego. We fell in love with San Diego as "snow birds" we live there permanently now.

IT'S MAGIC TIME

From my eleventh floor aerie,
I see that dusk is tiptoing in.
The sky turns a lovely pinky mauve.
And the bay water reflects the shade.
It's magic time.

As a hush comes over this scene,
San Diego seems to float,
On a soft colored cloud of the,
Rapidly darkening dusk.
It's magic time again.

As the lights everywhere,
Begin to sparkle on,
The Bay Bridge becomes a
Golden twinkling horseshoe.
And its magic time.

You may leave San Diego physically,
But emotionally you can,
Never leave it's enchantment.
For you will always remember
When it's magic time.
