(I wrote this for my Twin Soul, Lover, Husband and Best Friend Ryan Ranney)

To Adam

This is how a blind person sees
Touch your face and you will understand
I carry your banquet of good victuals
And withhold nothing

We have climbed into the Tree of Life
In spirit we look out and see
Two lovers with their
Eyes closed
Leaning against us
They are
Joyous in their visions of heaven

Our history is a wasteland even while our history is glory
I remember You
I have forgotten the great sorrows of yesterday
You have carried me from those who murdered in their hearts
I knew you would find us again

Within you I have witnessed the tenderness of new mornings
As a baby sparrow sits in your branches and sings
Perfect is the dawn of Our fathers song
You my lover, have returned for me and returned the hands of time

Great leaves cover me and with your feathers I am held safe
Even this is the joy of two German soldiers
We have planted our love on this earth for all to witness
Death has released its hold from us
And now I may heal your wounds and fill your emptiness with laughter all the days of eternity

It is joy to watch you walk with joy
I want all goodness to fill the walls of the castle you have built
And I will fill them overflowing
For always laughter will dance in the halls
And Sing in the illuminations of each window ledge
In your deepest seas I see a multitude no longer starving
For the loaves and fishes are countless and there is plenty

My thanks is giving
For you are the father of all fathers
You are the grandfather of all generations
You are a brother and best friend to our family
You are Every son who has come home

But most of all you are my foundation
My beginning and End
I follow in pleasure the ways of your lips
There is no greater Joy than Our Tree of Life

Eternally
Eve

You are a gem, Colleen. Your usage of the English language, especially when it comes to poems of love, is unsurpassed. I would stack you up against anyone. Heartfelt.
