I had to stop and say
That your eyes have mesmerized me.
Do you have the time,
Or at least the time of day
To swing my way?
I would say
That you've been runnin' through my mind all day,
But you don't seem like a track star.
But girl, if you run with me, you'll go far.
I don't understand
How a girl like you isn't with your man.
'Cause see, if I was him,
You wouldn't have to ask me for anything.
I'd be right there to show you all the love and care
That you need.
So pardon me if I stop and stare,
’Cause dimes come in dozens, but jewels like you are rare!
