A poem to my mother who has cancer

Today I ask God why?
Why are you taking my mom?
He spoke to me and he said,
I only lent her to you for a while.
I said Dear God I still need her now.
God said to me I know my child.
I have put you there to teach you
things you need to know
like tying your shoes and watching you grow
to ride bikes and play in the snow.
I said God she did a good job
but I still need her here you know.
God said she was there when you fell and
hurt your knee and kissed away the hurt
played cars and pick_up trucks
Saw you cry in your teen years
when  boy broke your heart.
I know God but I still need her now
God said my child I do to
to fill my chior
I lent her to you when you walked
down the isle and had your children
that made her smile
Dear God there is so much more she can teach me I still need her here
He said I left her here for as long as I could but don't be sad her memeries will not be gone
Like making cookies, cakes and jam and
laughing at the funny little jokes.
Your mom has taught you so very much
now its my turn even though it hurts.
I have a place beside me in heaven
just for her to sit
I said Dear God you do know best
but the pain in my heart will be there forever.
God said my child your heart is in the right place, but some times child Heaven can't wait

My mother found out she had cancer in December of 05. it is small cell cancer an is incureable this is for her I Love you MOM
