Summer break is here and the end of the school year as children cheer and are ready for much fun in the sun.

Now looking forward to everyday of fun and sleeping in instead of those cold winter mornings they had dreaded getting up early.

While most days could be a struggle as you hear “Just five more minutes mom!”

Now the fun sure begins for mom all day long and always on the run with her little ones as she does not mind and loves them so and plans many fun filled things to do as the children glow.

Although now come the early morning light the roles reverse as the children say excitedly “Come on mom wake up”.

When they now hear “Just five more minutes dear” as you open your eyes and see them standing in glee.

The children happily say, “Time for the beach!
“The park!
“The zoo!
“The amusement park!
“Making a lemonade stand!
You smile and say, “Oh I need another nap” as you all laugh and get ready for a fun filled day as it’s summertime.

Realistic and funny look at Mom's and kids during a summer of fun and frolic! I love the switch between just who is asking for that extra five minutes of sleep. A fun read. Joy L. Hale

Hilariously funny, reality based, take on the changing of roles during that summer vacation. No wonder moms and dads all over the world cry out in glee, Yeaaa! School starts next week."

You captured the union of parent child in changing seasons so perfectly here....it is funny that even kids who love school still seem to find it hard to get started in the mornings but when that bright summer sun shines through a window...bam ....they are off. lol
