The Heat Is On.

It seems summertime has begun, as it reached 94 degrees yesterday here in Ohio.

The children could not wait to jump into the pool, as some did not wait and ran through the water sprinklers just to cool off on such a hot day.

Lines at the ice cream shop were packed and now we know summer is back and yes the heat is on.

So are the fans and air conditioning.

When evening came it was still the same and actually hoped for rain to cool things down.

However, there was no rain to be found.

Therefore, it was one more dive back into the pool, as we knew it was the only way to be cool on such a hot day.

That now is here to stay and many more on the way.

your poem, Laura, is a true joy

Is there anything more amazing than the smiles of children having fun!!! That pic is adorable...lucky you that the heat is on, Laura....it's very chilly here in the Maritimes. Your poem made me feel warm and fuzzy though....thanks!

Oh the innocence and vibrancy of youth. Your grandchildren look so happy!!! Nothing like a dip in a pool to make the whole body feel rejuvenated.
Lovely reminder that the good ole summertime is in full swing!

Much peace love and light,

Well, Laura, my friend, so it seems the heat is, indeed, on. Had a lovely day, though, here in SoCal with the high hitting about eighty-two.

"That now is here to stay and many more on the way. "

I love that line, Laura.

Summer is my most hated month. Even when I was young and without old man's diseases I didn't much like summer. These days I hate it.

Love your poem about it though.
