Ever since Hamas won the Democratic election in Palestine January 25, 2006, there has been a backlash against Democracy in the holy land.  Instead of plaudits and flowers the Islamic movement of Hamas was greeted with frowns and missiles; a position which served the Zionist entity well and further legitimized its crimes and stranglehold in the occupied Territories.
As I write at least 700 Palestinians, many of them children, have lost their lives, thousands are injured and displaced and by the time I get up from my seat the number of fatalities would have increased and the Zionist bombardment from air, land and sea would have entered into its thirteenth day.

As the world looks on dismayed and helpless, the whole of the Gaza Strip is in the grip of Israeli Terror. Ordinary Gazans, or what is left of them, are stunned, hungry, sad, fearful and sleep deprived, and this after already living through eighteen months of grueling Israeli blockades and seige.
 
The reason for all of this terrorism and heartless slaughter, say Israeli politicians, is to stop Hamas rockets from landing on Southern Israel. Now the question I would like to ask is:
Where else will the resistance throw their rockets if not at the occupying force?

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the holy land, Palestine is an occupied land. Every inch of it is  Arab land and is occupied by imported Jews, who are not even real Jews. Again, Palestinians are the natives of the land, and Hamas is one of the many Palestinian resistance groups, individuals as well as groups through whose struggles and sacrifice Palestine shall reach its liberation and freedom from the yoke of oppression. And for as long as occupation persists and injustice is the order of the day Hamas’s gift to you, you who are against freedom and justices, their gift to you shall be rockets and yet more rockets, or whatever else they can lay their hands on.

Who is Hamas?

Hamas is Palestine, and Palestine is Hamas
Every felled tree is a Hamas martyr
Every stone thrown is Hamas.

Every Palestinian resistance is Hamas
Islamic Jihad is Hamas, Al Aqsa Brigade is Hamas, Fateh is Hamas.

Where is Hamas?

Everywhere you turn on God's land expect Hamas.

For as long as innocent lives are lost
For as long as children are butchered
For as long as women are widowed
For as long as homes are pulverized
For as long as blood is spilled
For as long as schools are assaulted
For as long as mosques are assaulted
Zionism shall always be hemmed in by Hamas.

Gaza is Hamas, West Bank is Hamas, Jerusalem is Hamas
The graves scream Hamas
The skies cry for Hamas
Humanity prays for Hamas.

For as long as there is occupation
For as long as there is injustice
For as long as there is Zionism
For as long as there are lies
Hamas shall be here to set the record straight.

Who are Hamas?

Hamas is the people
Hamas is the orphan
Hamas is the mother
Hamas is the father
Hamas is the son
Hamas is the friend of the slain friend
Hamas is the father of the slain son
Hamas is victim of the Israel soldier

Hamas is victim of US Policy.

Hamas is Palestine, Palestine is Hamas
Hamas was born under Israel siege
Hamas was born at the foot of a Zionist boot
Hamas sees things with own eyes
Hamas is a refugee in the mother land
Hamas is displaced in the mother land
Hamas is at war with the powers that be.

This is a war between goodness and wickedness
This is a war between justice and unfairness
This is a war between legitimacy and deceitfulness
This is a war between wisdom and foolishness
This is a war between slavery and sovereignty
This is a war between might and right
This is a war between disparity and equality.

If you happen to be a Jew and you know what is right from what is wrong then you are Hamas.
If you are a Christian and you love for others what you love for yourself then you are Hamas.
If you are a Muslim and you know what it means to bow to God and God alone then you are Hamas.
