BOG OAK MARY

Bog Oak Mary,
long years of kneeling and praying;
a Bridget's Cross
is something old
and pagan.

When you go to the door
you're made welcome -
a cup of tea and How's about ye?

Old woman in oak, Bog oak Mary,
four Irish elks
are taking you to Tara
through an oak forest

leaving Derry.

Intense and deep, Kenny, this poem opens the imigination of the reader to form a huge plot of the life and times of Bog Oak Mary. Compelling write.
