BOG OAK MARY

Bog Oak Mary,
long years of kneeling and praying;
a Bridget's Cross
is something old
and pagan.

When you go to the door
you're made welcome -
a cup of tea and How's about ye?

Old woman in oak, Bog oak Mary,
four Irish elks
are taking you to Tara
through an oak forest

leaving Derry.
