Has To Be This Way

I’m afraid it

Has to be this away

I love you, but I

Just can’t stay

And though it

seems so strange

I know it’s time

For a change

I never thought

It was true

That I wouldn’t

End up with you

But I guess

They were right

We couldn’t

Win the fight

And we’d cry

Cause we lie

And we don’t

Know why

It’s just the thing

That we do

And we’d wake up

To make up

And make up

To break up

And now

We are through

You ask me

Not to go

I shake my head

Because I already know

The pain

We will face

If I don’t

Leave this place

This is the hardest

Thing I’ve done

Letting you go

To another one

You’re no

Longer with me

Today I

Set you free

We’ll shed tears

For our fears

Of lost and

Broken years

And we’ll

Wonder why

We set down

For a let down

And let

Ourselves breakdown

And now

It is good-bye.

I’m sorry that it

Has to be this way

I will love you

All of my days

After breaking

My heart

You still

Hold a part

And though we’re

Not together now

In some way

There will

Always be

A place for

You and me

A beautiful let down, and so unfortunate it has to be that way, ever, between two who love each other. I have seen eye-to-eye with what you have expressed in this writing. It is, as always, well written and with a very clear style. Thanks for sharing this. Good fortune to you in life and creating, always. Enjoy!
