Crowded

Everything is crowded
and I'm developing Claustrophobia.
Too small house
with its too small rooms.

Too small of an existence.

Too many people gather in the streets
and in my mind,
all going different directions.
All of them shouting
trying to get the attention
of everyone else,
and me.

They all need something from someone else,
but there are too many people
and not quite enough.

Too small the streets,
and "Memory Lane" is the most crowded of all of them.
But on every one
there is too much clutter.

Yet, the people continue
to make more people,
while ideas and morals
are lost in the tiny gaps
which are immediately filled
with another crowd
of hurried, shouting, people.

Too small the space
that I gave myself
in which to grow.

I want to hide inside
a boat with wings
and soar to where the sea meets the sky,
where sky is not crowded
with anything
except my glittering dreams.

Genuine yearning for "more" expressed in a manner that the reader can relate to. Well done.

It does get really crowded sometimes. That's when we have to try and escape to that place of dream. That place where we can let our inhibitions loose on the breeze and relax.
Excellent write. Lisa
