As you build your fortress castles
From the sand upon the shore
And you man the tiny battlements
Against the onslaught of natures law

The ocean rolls on forward
With orders to take the wall
Spends its might and recedes in haste
To attack until they fall

The wind stands up and musters
The cavalry of the sands
And blows and whips white horses
But stead fast, the walls still stand

But tide and time will take their toll
And soon the walls are breached
All collapsed, in unshapely mounds
Lay the fortress of the beach.

By………..Ken Bielby

Have you ever been on the beach and see the wind blow waves of sand along the shore and feel the stinging around the ankles or built super sand castles near the waters edge to keep out the waves of the enemy
