What I Can Make it be

Sat down on this soft, moss patch,
Thinking of things I could show her out here.
What could I bring to her, maybe I could catch
A dandelion to place on her ear.

She sits by me smiling, and I smiled inside,
Until it finally crept it's way out.
One day she'll find what's left on my mind,
But what's deeper within I would doubt.

Things I don't know how to hardly let open,
To show her the path I took up to where it gets wetter.
Am I now walking back down, or is there still arid hoping,
Left dorment at worse, locked up may be better.

Falling back into feeling, I look down to see each,
Brown eye to brown eye there doth wed.
So much to learn, more still left to teach,
"Let's start hiking home, back to bed."

Then I gave her my dreams, oh! and I gave her this,
Just a couple now to you from me.
She gave me back a kiss, thinking "so this is what love is,"
Now let me show you what I can make it be.
