A Soldier's Wish

Everything’s getting kind of hazy,
And my mind won’t leave me alone.
Nothing keeps me from going crazy,
Not even the soft sound of your voice on the phone.

“Tell me you love me again...”

When the day gives way to endless thoughts.
And laying here is all there’s left to do.
I close my eyes and stay there waiting,
Hoping someday I’ll make it back to you.

“Tell me you love me again..”.

Lies always make reality harder to swallow,
And the pain makes it too difficult to move.
My soul grows weary and hollow,
I’ve go nothing more left to prove.

“Tell me you love me again...”

All this pain I’m feeling,
Cuts me to the core.
As I stare at the ceiling...
My heart is getting heavy,
And I can’t do this anymore.

“Tell me I’ll see you again....”
