Contempt For a Broken Juvenile Justice System... |
|
You ask me if I have contempt.
Yes I have contempt for a broken system.
That has crashed landed in my life like a plane going down at sea.
Contempt you say that in 2010 you ask my young black daughter.
What she plan to do in your world.
Contempt that she has to live in your world%u2026
Contempt for a system that turns families on each other%u2026
A system that punish mother and son with crack
Crumbs for mother a dollar for son then send both to jail.
In you wonder why I have contempt.
Lock me up that's what you wish so you can show your contempt
For me a black male that has risen out of the ashes of your cracked system
To sound a resounding no to your system and yes to contempt.
