It is what is inside.

I reach out to you.

You move away.

My touch is not welcomed.

I try to get close to you.

You move even further away.

I stand before with you in my heart.

You look at me with total disregard.

I express my feeling with total clarity.

You shake your head and role your eyes.

You say no!

You tell me you have another choice.

I ask you why?

You say you are not right for me.

You say it would not look right.

You say we are different.

I fail to see the difference.

We are both human.

We have plenty to share.

You look at and see there is a big difference.

You tell me I am nice.

You say you are concerned how it will look.

I feel it would look wonderful.

My surface is different in your eyes.

My heart is very true .

You see only what is on the outside.

You need to see what is inside.

There is more to me than what you see.

There is an inner depth.

I thought I saw that depth in you.

I see now you care more about what is on the surface.

It is what inside that truly counts.

I am offering you my heart.

All you can see is my face.

You want another body.

A face that will appear right to you.

I see your inner layer.

I thought your inner layer was beautiful.

You choose not to see who I am inside.

You another body and face.

I see your inner layer and I am suprised.

You have beauty on the outside.

You inner layer is not pretty.

All you see in what is on the surface.

You have the choice that is best for you.

I thought you have a special heart.

I thought you a wonderful spirit.

You see something wrong with me.

I will pray for you to see the light.

I will now turn and go away.

More people should appreciate the inner layer of our being. Out side is just a shell.
