She opened the
box that he
mailed to her
a broken frame that
scratched the picture
she had once
given to him
She carefully pieced
through the
shards of glass
each fragment
screaming out to her
She didn't know
it was over
Wiping a tear
leaves blood
on her hand
The dirty deed
was done.

What a cowardly way to end a relationship and how well you captured the emotions within this short, but effective, poem. Emotive and it can not help but touch the heart and soul. Hugs, Elizabeth

Carolyn,
This is a gem, even if and because it's full of pain and loss. Fine fine writing.

Extremely touching. I once took all of my beautiful wedding photos and systematically put them through the shredder. Felt good and felt right. Still does. Love and hugs, J'nia

A broken frame, glass sharts, scratched picture, tears, and a broken heart, she should buy a little coffin and bury the sucker, next...
I was a happy guy till I read this, it sure is heartgripping.
Bless you little Bear! Hugs! Jasmin Horst

Oh, this hurts, Bear - deeply - better a picture than her, as Georg (below) said - effectively penned sadness. Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(

Better a broken picture than a broken girl from vilonce.
I will say...good riddance! But for the pain...Oh the pain...
