A very meaningful poem; and I like the artwork too.

I enjoyed this poem Carolyn, your spirituality obviously has no room for sentiment.
The message and the cadence of your lines is very Celtic, but your name suggests native american connections (ooer, I'm always nervous about using native American, a friend of mine used to grizze "I'm not native bloody American, I'm Mexican - Apache. But by then she wasd more London.) I'll check out a few more poems and see if there is a clue. |

| this was great Carolyn. touching in the soul. i remember when i was a man alone for years. i prayed for a loving mate. finally after the years passed i met my wife. life isn't lonely anymore but it offers a new challenge, making it from day to day repetitious problems, tons of kissing up, chumping down and understanding. I probably won't never be a man alone that is unless death interferes but i tell you this, i travel back to your position of being alone in mind and soul sometimes. There are some things worst than loneliness, like a crazy motherlaw, well a whole crazy inlaw family. Enjoy your loneliness, life is a catch 22 dilemma anyway. hugs G |

You always rip and roar into the things people only give a thought to here and there. Fine fine work! Was a treat to read.

I toe
the waters of time
teeter on it's
constant moving shore
of an un-constant life
time has lost
it's meaning
as I stare into
it's nothingness
and realize
I am a woman alone.

| "I toe the waters of time..." So real, so surreal, as well.. On a day when stress takes on an actual shape, this poem has allowed me to celebrate my own brain.. this is the food for the spirit.. though sad, it reminds me that to think and to feel are glorious.. because I can linger with this kind of intellect. This is a beautifully composed and delivered piece, Carolyn. Wonderful! katy xox. |
