A cousin of mine once wryly observed that a girl he knew suffered from an "infinite entitlement complex". I loved that phrase, and came up with this whimsical riff about a sweet thing who's elevated the art of being spoiled to the level of a religion.

Bow, bow, ye wretched lower classes.
On bended knee, offer obeisance,
cast down your unworthy gaze
before the Enchanted Infanta:
Ineffable, untouchable,
secure in her superiority,
afloat upon a sea of unconcern,
her birthright Infinite Entitlement.
Shielded, screened, safeguarded
by legions of fawning flatterers,
servile sycophants and yes-drones
whose brunneous proboscides
and vestments of yellow tinsel
bespeak their willingness to die
rather than allow Philistine Reality
to perturb the princess pride,
unsettle the serenity,
fluster the fancy feathers
or enervate the equanimity
of the forever fabulous
Enchanted Infanta.
