A poem to honor Mothers.

Happy New Year, everyone!!

From the moment that the sunlight
Beams upon each newborn face
Our lives are filled with the delight
Of a Mother’s warm embrace
Her heart is fond and tender
Her hands are soft and kind
Her love is sweet surrender
In the true st sense we’ll find.

She shoulders each encumbrance
That our lives are forced to bear
While instilling the remembrance
That the world can be unfair
She watches ‘neath the moon glow
As we dream in peaceful rest
Praying that the roads we follow
Will be pathways ever blessed.

Even when she is foreseeing
The lessons she must convey
A Mother’s words speak of wellbeing
In their sweet, compelling way
Proving that each life is treasured
When filled with the love and grace
That shall be forever measured
By a Mother’s warm embrace.

There are few things that can touch
ones heart than a mother's embrace.
Loved the tenderness in this fine
poem, Jill.

Hugs and smiles,

Beautiful poem Jill!!

Before the sun sets on 2005
Before the memories fade
Before the networks get jammed
And before I get drunk and loose my mind,
I am wishing you
A very Happy & Prosperous 2006!!
