A children's poem about how a selfish bear that learns a valuable lesson.

Along the outskirts of Gold Run
Lived Anastasia Bear
She loved to laugh and have great fun
But, did not love to share
Each time her honey pots were filled
Twas food for her, alone
Despite the fact her friends were willed
To find meals, on their own.

One August night, Gold Run became
A town buried by snow
Leading the paper to proclaim
That honey would not flow
The combs had frozen to the core
Thanks to the early frost
And with the winter months in store
The town feared all was lost.

There was one pantry in Gold Run
Well packed from wall to wall
With enough food for everyone
Through every winter squall
Once Anastasia realized
The plight Gold Run must fare
She left the townsfolk quite surprised
When she opted to share.

It is always better to give
And better still to share
Making each moment that we live
A time for love and care
So, if you find you have enough
Do not wallow in greed
Instead, collect your extra stuff
And give to those in need!

Wonderful write. Share and you recieve. If you take a selfish attitude you end up alone. All the riches in the world cannot buy friends but a gift given from the heart will warm their hearts in return.
God Bless,
