A poem that a bride could share with her husband at their wedding.

The roads we have traveled have been hard and long
Though, each step we’ve taken has made our hearts strong
Tomorrow could bring even more rocky seas
But, if we’re together, we will rise with ease
No powerful wave or hardship of mankind
Could ever encumber the love that we find
When we are united; tethered at the heart
Since our lives are not meant to e'er be apart.

Our souls need each other, like flowers need sun
And, shall remain faithful until life is done
Through good times and bad, we’ll depend on our love
A gift we’ve been handed by the Lord above
The flame deep within us shall e’er keep us warm
Serving as our beacon throughout every storm
So, we will be destined to find our way through
As only two people in such love could do.

I’ll make you this promise, for years yet to be
As we start this journey of matrimony
I will stand beside you, each day of your life
As your true companion, your friend, and your wife
Our love forms the groundwork for each path ahead
And, with this commitment, I will to thee wed
While I face the future with you, by my side
I’ll always feel honored that I am your bride.
