A poem about never giving up and always finding the strength to hang on, however difficult the challenges might be.

Some days, our hearts are weighted
By the paths which lie ahead
While our minds seem bound and fated
By a constant sense of dread
Every moment brings a challenge
Something we must overcome
And we wonder how we’ll manage
Through the sadness and the glum.

While the sky may seem much dimmer
And the burdens far too great
‘neath the gloom, a hopeful glimmer
For the souls content to wait
On this day, the stars lack twinkle
But, the hardship gives us might
To endure each passing wrinkle
While continuing the fight.

Some days, our heads are weary
And we want to stay asleep
Since the world seems just as dreary
As the lives which we must keep
Yet we rise to face the morning
With our fortunes, still unsaid
Grief may follow, without warning
But, we’ll hang on by a thread.

Yes Jill, that thread can get pretty strained and thin at times but with love and help it can also grow as strong as a steel cable...

Good one,
