A poem written to honor a friend's incredible talent and sense of humor.
Some days can often seem so cold
With sadness found around each bend
You may be miles from pots of gold
But, deep inside, you have a friend
Your sense of humor always glows
Providing strength, along the way
For with each joke, your smile grows
Keeping the dreariness at bay.
Some days are filled with gloom, at dawn
Worsening as the moments pass
These times, you feel you lack sheer brawn
Like the sands of an hourglass
Yet, time, for you is hardly done
Since you possess a priceless gift
Your smile shines brighter than the sun
And brings this world a needed lift.
Some days are difficult; that’s true
When raindrops offer no relief
But, the light found inside of you
Allows a respite from the grief
The tales you tell come from your heart
Each shared in your own uncanny style
Your laughter is a work of art
Found on the faces you’ve made smile.

|Smiles and laughter "allows a respite from the grief"
My brother is one of those people. Always ready with a silly joke to make me smile.
I'm planning on sharing your poem with him, so he knows what a special person he is to me and what an extraordinary heart he has.
The picture was toooooo cute! Made me smile
