Sometimes, in the midst of life's ups and downs, it helps to have the reassurance that someone out there still cares. If you are experiencing this now, I hope my poem brings you some comfort.
|
When the dust storm settles and the sun has set I promise you one thing; on this you can bet I will be here waiting; my arms opened wide I want nothing more than to be by your side You will rise beyond this with a stronger heart Since your inner beauty sets your soul apart Despite all the sadness that you may now feel Please know you’re still needed since your gift is real.
You have stood beside me when I have been blue And now is my chance to send some joy to you Look back and remember these days with a smile Then, gaze toward the future; embrace every mile You have conquered mountains; you’ve danced with the tide And through every hardship, you have stormed in stride It is in your nature to always be strong Even when it seems nothing could be more wrong.
When the dust storm settles, some things will be known The sky will be clear and you’ll fly on your own The key to the future is now in your reach And that is something no one on earth can breach Soon, you’ll find your way to where you’re meant to go Your heart will be healed and your sweet smile will glow While here in this moment, life seems much to bear But, know that I need you and will always care.

Jill,
I don't know how you do it; everything you write is perfect and speaks to the heart of your readers. As far as perfection goes, you're not so bad, yourself! ;-)
Take care, sweetheart,
Hugs,
Nate |

your beauty is above beauty. Love your new bio pic too.
When I read your poetry, I feel I'm in a different era.
A time when christians were all Christ followers, and a lass like you
was the desire of all good men, who saw the heart and soul, not just the outter beauty...
Divine as ever... |

Jill,
Full of love, compassion, and hope - in the midst of sadness, you pen one that is admirable - reaching out to others - yes, I believe this will do, admirably - saving this one. Beautiful.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. |
