In these tough economic times, it is often hard to find to stay focused on our dreams. But, if we are able to keep faith nearby, we'll always find our way through the storms.
|
Riding the waves and clinging to hope
Running in circles, and getting nowhere
Reaching for faith, while trying to cope
Flailing and falling throughout the thin air
When does the cycle so happily end
Or does it end in a sea filled with doubt
Will there be a time when life is a friend
Will sanity be something ever left out
I, myself, have asked these questions at times
Waiting and wondering if dreams are to be
In moments when dollars so soon became dimes
‘twas easy to question one’s true destiny
Yes, I have known hardship, but much glory, too
The glory much sweeter as hardship’s reward
I’ve discovered more strength than I ever knew
While handing the rest to our Almighty Lord
The key to finding our pathways in life
Is knowing each vision has a place and time
For only when we conquer sadness and strife
Will we claim the ticket for dreams in their prime
This world can belittle, ridicule and snide
Leading us to wonder if we’ll be okay
Success is a given, if we take life in stride
And keep holding on until we reach “our” day.

Sounds like you have been reading critics. A good, 'let it out,' poem for those who are questioning their plight now.

Life comes in cycles, high and low and back again. We must find our "center" in the hard times. "Let Go and Let God" in the low times. You know this intuitively, Jill. Fine poem!
