One early spring night, I sat by myself and pondered how I would feel if I had no one around me -- no friends, no family, no pets, just me.
Enjoy!!

Absence makes the heart grow fonder
I know this much is true
Although, the thought has made me ponder
A lifetime without you
If you were gone, I know I’d weep
I’d miss you terribly
Yet, your memory I’d always keep
You mean that much to me
The sun would never shine so bold
All the roses would wilt
My heart would turn solid and cold
Filled with regret and guilt
I’d feel I did not say enough
When you were by my side
Indeed, the nights would be so tough
In the event you died
I know I’d feel lost and alone
I know I’d mourn in pain
If I were left here on my own
With just the bitter rain
Absence may make the heart grow fond
Yet, if you were gone away
I’ll scale the earth and world beyond
To be with you, each day.

Strange, that. I'm never alone when on my own, yet often lonely in a crowd.

Absence is like a house without wall, a bird without wings a poet without words...
Then again...your kind of absence can be filled with the next love coming your way to replace the one that whiter.
