Your love is the reason I rise for the day
Your hope and your strength are surreal
You captivate me in such a sweet way
As greatness goes, you are ideal
You give so much more than I ever could
Your heart is encased in pure gold
Your life’s inner calling is for greater good
Indeed, you’re a gem to behold
Your love is the reason I stand on two feet
Your strength tethers me to the ground
I love you much more when each day is complete
You are the best friend I have found
On the earth this day, no other could be
As brilliant, as gentle, as true
I’m better for the love that you share with me
Indeed, I am blessed to have you
Your love is the reason I smile every morn
Your hope is my reason to glow
You repair my heart when it’s tattered and torn
With the greatest compassion I’ll know
My dear, you’re the glue that holds me in place
Whenever hardships take their toll
My burdens are lessened when I see your face
Indeed, you are what makes me whole
