Every year, to commemorate my November 12th birthday, I write a poem as a "gift" to myself, shared with everyone as a bit of inspiration (or an online party). Here's this year's poem for my 29th birthday, this Thursday. Enjoy!

I move with the tides, however they roll
Sweet times and hardships understood
Fighting the waves with true love in my soul
Assured that the end shall be good
I never regret when my life goes off course
I’ve faith I will find my way home
With God as my captain, I’m pushed by His force
I shall reach where I choose to roam.
Over the last year, I’ve seen sweet times and pain
The struggles, indeed, have been great
I’ve grown from the hardship; how, I can’t explain
But, I know my life is bound by fate
For I’ve also walked an incredible path
Where sunlight and bright flowers bloom
‘tis proof that from burden, a sweet aftermath
Is destined for those who make room.
I’ve risen from ashes and dreams gone awry
To seize newfound goals in my view
I’ve bounced back from days when I wanted to cry
To find beauty I never knew
As I travel onward, upon life’s high seas
Toward joys and God’s blessings, divine
I’ll vow to remember the past’s sacred breeze
That led to birthday, twenty-nine!

Twenty-nine! OMG I wish I could be 29 again. hehehe. Happy belated birthday Jill, and I hope that future ones will be great. I love the way you have written this, because not only does it give yourself a message of hope, but for all of us too. But thank you Jill because what you said here is a reminder for me that I am in charge of my destiny written long ago on a golden scroll kept by the Archangel. Thanx for sharing.
May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your den sister, Barbie. |

A very beautiful offering, it took me down memory lane.
I should have lots of years left, and I suspect it is mountains and valleys all the way.
Much beauty everywhere.
We should always remind each other of that.
Happy Birthday!
John
