Love is not that of appearance, but that of the heart of the other

 She said, He said

She said: Why do you love me?

He said: You have to ask?

She said: Yes, I want to know, why am I so special to thee?

He said: It was not your eyes of green, or your auburn hair that shines, it was not your skin of fair, with softness so divine

She said: What then Sir, how do you find fancy in me? What moves your heart to feel for me? If this loves be true ?

He said: My maiden fair, princess to me one I hold ever dear, your beauty is not what captures me, as many use to snare…

Your heart is pure, your words are true , your tenderness captures me, within your soul my princess fair you give love unconditionally

I have watched you walk the Ballinlough Meagh and saw your kindness there, every creature you came upon such love you gave with care

Every child with upturned hand a coin of love you give, surely you be an Angel sent among us all to live

Truly a beautiful "ode" to love that is deep, real, and lasting. I have always believed in such love. Thank you, Angel. Love and best wishes to you,

Yes it does Jerry, thank you so much for your comment

Ah,yes indeed, the blinders of love and its sometimes dreadful consequences to come. That there is such a phenomenal thing as "true" love, is undeniable. Still, we have seen love turn to unadulterated hate, and when love goes there it does with a consequential viciousness. I am not making light of your lovely poem, merely being realistic in the matter of love.
